Frankfurt am Main/Dubai, 30 March 2022. DE-CIX, the world’s leading Interconnection Platform operator, offering Internet Exchange (IX), Cloud Exchange and other interconnection services, and IRAQ-IXP, the first and unique neutral Internet Exchange IX that serves all Iraqi regions, today signed a strategic partnership, in the context of the Capacity Middle East event, for the future operations of “IRAQ-IXP powered by DE-CIX”.
DE-CIX India are taking a completely customer-centric approach in our ongoing effort to enhance and to exceed standards. Accordingly, DE-CIX India is pleased to announce that it is India's first Internet Exchange to implement IRRDB filtering. The propagation of incorrect routing information is a major cause of Internet incidents. BGP does not verify whether an ASN is authorised to advertise IP prefixes in its routing table. Most common threats, such as Prefix Hijacking, BGP Hijacking, and Route Leaks, manipulate this flaw.
The Global Achievers Award 2021 has named DE-CIX India the Fastest Growing Interconnection Platform. More than 20 award categories and industry verticals were submitted by Indian and international entities, and the award was chosen from among them.
For us at DE-CIX India, this has been an exhilaratingly eventful year. DE-CIX DirectCLOUD Service received the award for Cloud Innovator of the Year. We are currently connecting 470+ networks across India and the SAARC region.
This is the final article in our “reasons to peer” series, and it is dedicated to the non-technical benefit of peering – how it can be used as a quality seal to grow your business.
Assurance of a well-operated network
Peering at an Internet Exchange means being part of an interconnection ecosystem. While the exchange itself is a small niche topic for those who operate it, the ecosystem around it offers a very broad range of possibilities for doing business – another reason to peer.
Ivo Ivanov, CEO of DE-CIX global speaks about what technology can do for the hospitality industry in the near future.
It has taken the pandemic for the hospitality industry to realise the true potential of technology and the virtual world when it comes to business. ETHospitalityWorld spoke with Ivo Ivanov, the Germany-based CEO of DE-CIX (pronounced dee-kicks) Global— the largest internet exchange in the world.
When it comes to end-user experience, peering has a lot of advantages compared to IP transit-only designs. Better latency, less packet loss, and higher throughput all mean that your services work better and your users will be happy.
We have already talked about latency in a previous article in this “reason to peer” series, when we said even a 2-second delay in the loading time of a website is sufficient to increase the bounce rate more than 100%.
“The competition (in urban areas) will lead to the result that private and business users at the end will get even more reasonable commercial solution and more reasonable costs such as the cost of access to the internet and digital services,” Ivo Ivanov, CEO of DE-CIX International, told ETTelecom during an interaction.
The leading carrier and data center neutral Internet Exchange operator on the Indian sub-continent, DE-CIX India, today published its annual growth report for 2020, which was marked by a global pandemic.
